Choosing a wakeboard: as a rule of thumb, riders up to 70 kg suit boards around 134-138 cm, 70-90 kg around 138-142 cm, and over 90 kg go 142 cm+. Beginners should look for a continuous rocker and moulded fins for predictable, forgiving rides; more aggressive three-stage rockers give bigger pop off the wake. Pair your board with O'Brien bindings sized to your shoe size, and a low-stretch wakeboard rope of 20-24 m.
